There are also theories as to certain foods that you can eat that may increase your odds of having twins. Yams are thought to have certain chemicals that increase the odds. If you're up for trying just about anything to have twins, make sure to stock up on yams. Of course, the best way to raise your odds of having twins, be taking fertility medication. However, simply telling your doctor that you want to have twins and asking for fertility drugs is not a good idea. Conventionally, fertility drugs are for people who are having problems trying to conceive even one child. These kinds of drugs can have lots of different effects on your body, so if you're fortunate enough to find a doctor who will hand you a prescription simply to increase your odds, make sure you know all of the risks.
